10 hours/week Virtual Teacher for Deaf/HOH Students 2022-23

Are you a talented and passionate Deaf and Hard of Hearing teacher looking for a flexible remote opportunity? Look no further! ProCare Therapy is seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as a consultant for 10 hours per week, providing services to a school district in Illinois.

As a ProCare consultant, you will work from the comfort of your own home and have the opportunity to set your own schedule. This is a 1099 contract position that offers competitive compensation based on your experience and skills.

Your responsibilities will include providing consultative services to the district to support the academic and social-emotional development of students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Some unique job duties include:

• Providing professional development to staff regarding best practices for teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
• Collaborating with the district to develop and implement effective communication plans for students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
• Providing individualized support and coaching to students to develop their language, literacy, and social-emotional skills.
• Facilitating communication and collaboration between families, teachers, and other professionals to ensure that students are receiving appropriate services.

The ideal candidate should hold an active IL teaching license with an endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing, have experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, and be familiar with assistive technology and communication devices.
