Pay Range: $40-42 per hour

Position Overview: As a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing specialized instruction to students with hearing impairments. You will work closely with students, families, and a team of educators to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and deliver high-quality instruction tailored to the unique needs of each student. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including health insurance options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with hearing impairments.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to help students achieve their academic and communication goals.
  • Utilize specialized instructional methods and assistive technology.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support students' educational development.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
  • Valid state teaching certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education in California.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication methods used by Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
  • Strong passion for working with students with hearing impairments.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
