Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students who are deaf or hard of hearing?
ProCare Therapy is seeking a qualified and experienced Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to join our team in the Atlanta, Georgia area, ASAP for the current 23/24 school year!
Responsibilities: (Middle School Aged Students)
- Full Time Hours - (30+ Hours/ Week)
- Provide individual and group instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Develop and implement lesson plans and assessments tailored to the unique needs of DHH students
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the academic and social-emotional growth of DHH students
- Utilize assistive technology and accommodations to support student learning and communication
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and individualized education plans

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field preferred
- Valid Georgia teaching license with a DHH endorsement preferred
- Experience working with DHH students in a school setting
- Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication modalities used by DHH students
- Familiarity with assistive technology and accommodations used by DHH students
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to support student learning and growth
