Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHH) - Walnut Park, California

ProCare Therapy, a leading education staffing agency, is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHH) for an exciting opportunity in Walnut Park, California. This position is available from August 15, 2023, to June 5, 2024.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and inclusive educational environment
• Monitor student progress, assess their abilities, and make necessary adjustments to instructional techniques

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or a related field
• Valid state certification in Deaf Education or eligibility to obtain certification
• Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing is preferred
• Knowledge of sign language and other communication modalities used by individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Ability to adapt instructional materials and techniques to meet individual student needs
