Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf and hard of hearing
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive educational experience
• Utilize various teaching strategies, communication methods, and assistive technologies to facilitate learning
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic and social growth

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field
• Valid state teaching certification for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHHT)
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles
