Procare Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHHT) to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year in White Settlement, TX. As a DHHT, you will play a crucial role in empowering students with hearing impairments to overcome educational barriers and achieve their full potential. Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and support to students with hearing impairments in a classroom setting.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
• Utilize appropriate teaching strategies, materials, and assistive technology to enhance learning.
• Collaborate with a team of educators, speech-language pathologists, and other specialists to ensure students' success.
• Assess and monitor students' progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes communication and social development.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address concerns.
• Stay current with best practices and developments in the field of Deaf Education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
• Valid Texas teaching certification as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher.
• Previous experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with special needs.
