Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to deaf and hard of hearing students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with students, parents, and school staff to ensure a supportive learning environment.
- Utilize appropriate teaching strategies, materials, and technologies to enhance learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress to adjust teaching methods as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
- Appropriate state licensure and certification to teach students who are deaf and hard of hearing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with students with hearing impairments and a commitment to their academic success.
- Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) is a plus but not required.
