Job Description:
Blazer Jobs, in partnership with a school in Medford, Oregon, is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for the 2023-2024 school year. As a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized education and support to students with hearing impairments, helping them overcome challenges and succeed academically.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction to students with hearing impairments.
- Create and implement specialized educational plans and strategies.
- Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and parents to ensure students' needs are met.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Utilize assistive technologies and resources effectively.
- Monitor and track student progress and make necessary adjustments to teaching methods.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students (or in the process of obtaining).
- Experience working with students with hearing impairments is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Dedication to the success and well-being of students.
