Job Description:

Blazer Jobs, in partnership with a school in Medford, Oregon, is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for the 2023-2024 school year. As a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized education and support to students with hearing impairments, helping them overcome challenges and succeed academically.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized instruction to students with hearing impairments.
  • Create and implement specialized educational plans and strategies.
  • Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and parents to ensure students' needs are met.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Utilize assistive technologies and resources effectively.
  • Monitor and track student progress and make necessary adjustments to teaching methods.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students (or in the process of obtaining).
  • Experience working with students with hearing impairments is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Dedication to the success and well-being of students.
