Job Title: Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Specialist

Location: Evanston, IL

Job Type: Full Time (Summer)

Blazerworks, a leading education staffing agency, has partnered with a school district in Evanston, IL, to recruit a qualified Deaf and Hard of Hearing Specialist for a full-time summer position. The selected candidate will provide case management services for five students aged 18-22 years.

Responsibilities:

• Providing direct services to DHH students
• Developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Conducting assessments and evaluations
• Collaborating with classroom teachers and other professionals
• Providing support and consultation to families
• Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education or related field
• Active Illinois State Licensure and DHH endorsement
• Previous experience working with DHH students preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations
