DHHT Contract Position

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teachers (DHHT) for a full-time position with school districts in the Montgomery, AL area. This is an excellent opportunity to support students with hearing impairments in achieving their educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement specialized lesson plans tailored to students with hearing impairments
- Provide individualized instruction and support to meet the unique needs of each student
- Utilize assistive technologies, such as FM systems and visual aids, to enhance learning
- Collaborate with general education teachers, speech therapists, and other specialists to ensure student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid and current Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher certification in Alabama
- Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field required
- Experience working with students with hearing impairments, including the use of sign language and other communication methods
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
