Blazer Jobs is a leading provider of educational support services, is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Interpreter (SLI) for a position in a school-based setting. Schedule: M-F Standard School Schedule 2024-2025 NSY 

Responsibilities:

  1. Communication Support: Deliver high-quality interpretation services for deaf or hard of hearing students, ensuring seamless interaction between students, educators, and staff members.

  2. Collaborative Assistance: Work closely with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other professionals to help students with communication disorders meet their educational goals effectively.

  3. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of interpretation sessions and student progress while adhering to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations governing speech-language interpretation services in educational settings.

Requirements:

  • Licensed as a Speech-Language Interpreter (SLI) in accordance with local and state regulations.

  • Experience working with students with communication disorders, preferably in a school-based setting.

  • Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication modalities used by individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.

  • Ability to adapt communication strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
