Job Overview: Are you a dedicated and skilled DHH (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) Teacher ready to make a difference in the lives of students? Soliant is seeking talented individuals to join our team in Washington for immediate opportunities. As a DHH Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and communication needs of students with hearing impairments, collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to create inclusive and supportive learning environments.

Job Description: As a DHH Teacher with Soliant, you will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), and offering ongoing support and consultation to school staff and families. Your work will help ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed academically and socially.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with hearing impairments.
  • Provide direct and indirect instruction to students in various educational settings.
  • Utilize a variety of communication methods, including American Sign Language (ASL), to support students' learning.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support students' academic and social success.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of instructional strategies, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
  • Advocate for the needs and rights of students with hearing impairments.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
  • Valid Washington state certification or licensure as a DHH Teacher.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication methods for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional strategies and best practices for students with hearing impairments.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to promoting positive outcomes for students with hearing impairments.
