Job Description:

As a Full-Time Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher at BlazerJobs, you will be an essential part of our mission to provide quality education and support to students with hearing impairments within our school district. Your expertise in DHH education will be instrumental in helping students succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with hearing impairments.
  • Provide direct instruction to students, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Utilize appropriate amplification devices and assistive technology to enhance communication.
  • Collaborate with students, parents, and support staff to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
  • Advocate for the educational needs of students with hearing impairments.


  • Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
  • Texas state certification as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and knowledge of Deaf culture.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
