Key Responsibilities:
- Instruction: Provide specialized instruction to students with hearing impairments.
- Assessment: Conduct assessments to determine students' educational needs and develop appropriate strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other educators, support staff, and parents to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Advisory Support: Provide guidance and support to students to enhance their academic and personal development.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Valid certification as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or related field.
- Experience: Previous experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly desirable.
