Blazerworks, in collaboration with the local school district, is seeking a dedicated and qualified individual to fill the role of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Educator in Greenville, SC. As a full-time member of our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized education and support to students with hearing impairments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with hearing impairments.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in a variety of educational settings.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and parents to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Utilize appropriate technology and resources to enhance the learning experience for students with hearing impairments.
- Assess and monitor students' progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in DHH education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
- Experience working with students with hearing impairments is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
