Requirements:

  • Valid DHH Teaching Certification
  • Experience working with students who have hearing impairments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • A passion for creating inclusive and supportive learning environments

Duties:

  • Provide specialized instruction to students with hearing impairments, tailoring teaching methods to individual needs.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that address students' unique challenges and goals.
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure students' success and well-being.
  • Utilize assistive technology and resources to enhance students' learning experiences.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Continuously assess students' progress and adapt instruction as necessary to maximize their growth.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Stay current on best practices and emerging trends in the field of Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.
