Full-Time DHH Teacher

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Full-Time DHH Teacher for the 2023-24 school year in Bloomfield Hills, MI. Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to students with hearing impairments, helping them develop communication skills, language development, and overall academic progress.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the IEP team, ensuring goals and objectives are met.
• Utilize appropriate teaching strategies, materials, and technology to facilitate effective learning experiences for students.
• Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and related service providers to support the educational needs of students.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, attendance, and other relevant data.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with DHH endorsement.
• Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
• Strong knowledge of instructional strategies and methodologies specific to DHH education.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in utilizing assistive technology for DHH students is desirable.
