Full Time Itinerant Teacher Deaf Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHH) | Joliet, IL | 2023 - 2024
A school district in Joliet, IL is in need of a cross categorical Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher for the remainder for the 2023/2024 school year.

Job Overview:

• Begin at the start of the 2023 school year
• Full-Time 35hrs/week
• Service students who require assistance due to hearing loss
• The teacher will address the educational, communication, and social/emotional needs of students and provide guidance to students parents and school personnel
• Work onsite at various school within the district
• Model is to advise as an itinerant teacher 
• Adjustment of auditory equipment as necessary. 
• Must be experienced in deaf education to help advise teachers where necessary. 
• State of IL DHH teacher credentials required

Case Load: 

• Deaf and hard of hearing students
• EC - 12th grade
• Multiple schools within the district

Upon completion of the contract there is possibility of renewal for the following school year.
