High School Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teaching Opening - Afton, WY

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a full-time Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to work with high school students in Afton, WY. This position is for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year with a possible extension for the 2023-2024 school year.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to high school students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with hearing impairments
• Collaborate with other teachers and professionals to support students' educational and social-emotional needs
• Monitor students' progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance

Requirements:

• Valid DHH teaching license
• Experience working with high school students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred
• Ability to work full-time for the remainder of the school year and potentially extend for the 2023-2024 school year
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary:

• $28 - $35 per hour (pending experience and school budget)
