Part-time teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing needed for a contract job in the Pomfret, MD area. This part-time teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing position requires a Special Education degree with hearing impairment endorsement OR a degree in deaf or hard of hearing education. Prior experience in public schools is highly preferred.

This part-time deaf and hard of hearing teaching position consists of working with students with, but not limited to:

• Hearing impairments
• Broken language
• Reading difficulties

This part-time teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing position is itinerant within the school district. Caseload at the start of the school year consists of 15-20 students with more students being added as the year goes on. Hours of this position will increase as the school year progresses and more students are added.
