Hiring Now! Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Afton, WY

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a Full-Time Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to work with Elementary School students in Afton, WY. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing instruction, support, and guidance to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, helping them to achieve their academic goals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement instructional strategies to meet the individual needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech therapists and audiologists, to provide comprehensive services to students
• Conduct assessments and analyze data to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Provide support to students in various settings, including the classroom, resource rooms, and inclusion settings
• Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure that students are receiving appropriate services

Requirements:

• Valid DHH Teaching License
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or related field
• Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals to provide comprehensive services to students
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet the individual needs of students

This position is for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year with a possible extension for the 2023-2024 school year. The salary range for this position is $28 - $35 per hour, dependent on experience and school budget.
