ProCare Therapy is seeking a qualified and experienced Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to join our team in the Mesa, Arizona area, for the upcoming 23/24 school year! 

Responsibilities: (K-12th Grade Aged Students) 

• Full Time Hours - (30+ Hours/ Week)
• Provide individual and group instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Develop and implement lesson plans and assessments tailored to the unique needs of DHH students
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the academic and social-emotional growth of DHH students
• Utilize assistive technology and accommodations to support student learning and communication
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and individualized education plans

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field preferred
• Valid Arizona teaching license with a DHH endorsement preferred
• Experience working with DHH students in a school setting
• Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication modalities used by DHH students
• Familiarity with assistive technology and accommodations used by DHH students
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to support student learning and growth
• Fingerprint Card required
