Requirements:

  • Valid DHH Teaching Certification
  • Experience working with students who have hearing impairments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Duties:

  • Provide specialized instruction to students with hearing impairments
  • Assess student needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure student success
  • Utilize assistive technology and resources to enhance learning experiences
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor student progress and make adjustments to instruction as needed
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Stay current on best practices and developments in the field of Deaf and Hard of Hearing education
