Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Employment Type: Contract

Hours: Full-time, 37-40 hours per week
Caseload Details:

  • Itinerant role covering 12 school sites, conveniently located near each other. The Teacher will schedule visits for optimal convenience.
  • Working with 6 students K-12, primarily 3rd-4th graders
  • Responsibilities include advocacy sessions, equipment maintenance, and related tasks
  • Support and training available from DHH professionals at a neighboring deaf school
  • Onsite position only at this time

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TODHH)
  • Experience working with deaf and hard of hearing students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
