Part-Time Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher In Aledo, TX For 2023-24 School Year!
ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a Part-Time Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to work in Aledo, TX for the 2023-24 school year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Provide direct instruction in all subject areas using specialized techniques and resources
- Facilitate communication and language development for students who use sign language, spoken language, or both
- Collaborate with general education teachers to modify and adapt curriculum and instruction to meet the needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians, school staff, and other service providers
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Texas state teaching certification in Deaf Education
- Must have experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a school or similar setting
- Must have excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of American Sign Language is preferred
- Must be willing to work part-time for the 2023-24 school year
