Job Description: We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated educators to join our team as Remote Teachers for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students while working from the comfort of your own home.
Responsibilities:
Full-Time Position (37.5 hours per week):
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans tailored to the needs of students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
- Provide instruction, support, and guidance to students through virtual platforms.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure the best possible educational experience.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills.
Part-Time Position (Flexible Hours):
- Customize lesson plans to meet the individualized needs of students.
- Deliver engaging and effective instruction via virtual platforms.
- Monitor and evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance the learning experience.
- Maintain communication with parents and guardians as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Deaf Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Appropriate state teaching certification for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required.
- Experience teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing students is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to remote teaching technologies and platforms.
- Passion for inclusive education and a commitment to the success of all students.
