School DHH Teacher Needed ASAP - Chicago Heights, IL

Blazerworks is proud to partner with a school district in Chicago Heights, IL to find a talented and passionate Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. As a full-time member of the school district, you will work directly with students who are deaf or hard of hearing to ensure that they receive a high-quality education that meets their individual needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Illinois State Learning Standards and meet the unique needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Utilize various teaching methods and technologies to create a supportive and engaging classroom environment
• Work closely with other teachers, support staff, and parents/guardians to create and implement individual education plans (IEPs) for each student
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed to ensure that students are meeting their educational goals
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a supportive and inclusive school culture that values diversity and promotes student success

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Valid Illinois Teaching Certification with endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing
• Experience teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and parents/guardians
