DHH Specialist Full-Time Role in Rowland Heights, CA

Position Details:
Start Date: January 5, 2026
End Date: June 5, 2026
Schedule: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
Setting: Onsite Only – Itinerant
Pay Rate: TBD (Based on Experience)
Number of Openings: 1
Caseload Overview:
Serving students from infant through 22 years old
Caseload of approximately 35 students
Includes early intervention services, ongoing consults, IEP participation, and support for families
Access to program support staff and collaborative multidisciplinary teams
Requires experience working with infants and IFSP documentation
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative DHH instructional services across various school sites
Develop and implement IFSP and IEP goals, progress monitoring, and specialized instruction aligned with student needs
Support early intervention programming for infants and toddlers with hearing-related delays
Collaborate with general education teachers, special education teams, and related service providers to ensure students receive appropriate accommodations
Conduct developmental assessments and contribute to eligibility determinations
Provide training and assistance to staff on hearing-related accommodations, amplification devices, communication systems, and instructional strategies
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state, district, and program standards
Requirements:
Active California CTC Education Specialist Instruction Credential with DHH Authorization
Experience providing services to infants, including IFSP involvement
Strong knowledge of early intervention practices, auditory/oral and/or total communication approaches
Experience serving a wide age range, from early childhood through transition-age students
Ability to work independently across multiple school locations
Must pass all required California background checks and district clearances
