Role Summary
As a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHHT) in Arlington, TX, you will provide direct and consultative services to students with hearing impairments, helping them access the general education curriculum and reach their academic goals.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement individualized instructional plans
• Provide direct instruction and support to students with hearing loss
• Collaborate with general and special education staff, audiologists, and families
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
• Support the use of assistive listening devices and classroom accommodations
Requirements (Texas)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field
• Valid Texas teaching certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing
• School-based experience preferred
