Itinerant Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Needed in Texas
A Texas district is seeking a qualified Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to support students from PreK through 6th grade in an itinerant role. The educator will work primarily on one campus, providing specialized instruction, completing evaluations, and supporting students’ communication and academic needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of DHH students in grades PK–6

Deliver direct instruction and support based on student IEPs
-
Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations as assigned
-
Participate in ARD meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
-
Review and interpret audiograms and integrate findings into instructional planning
-
Consult with staff and families to ensure accessibility and appropriate accommodations
-
Maintain documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines
Ideal Candidate:
-
Holds an active D/HH Teaching License through TEA
-
Has previous experience in Texas schools (preferred)
-
Is comfortable working in an itinerant model

Communicates effectively and collaborates well with school teams and families
