Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Middletown, NY
A full-time Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing is needed to support students from PreK through 12th grade in a K-12 educational setting. This contract position runs from ASAP through June 6, 2026.
Responsibilities include providing specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing. The role requires delivering general DHH duties aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating with school staff to foster student success, and maintaining appropriate documentation. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing across the PreK–12 spectrum
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to implement individualized learning strategies and assessments
