An opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students to provide full-time support within a K-12 school district. This position is onsite and itinerant, servicing students ranging from PreK through 22 years old. The role requires an active Oklahoma teaching license for Deaf and Hard of Hearing instruction.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Oklahoma license for Teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
  • Experience working with students from PreK to age 22.
  • Ability to work effectively in an itinerant role across multiple school sites.
  • Strong understanding of educational strategies for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff.

Location: Mustang, OK

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individualized educational programs tailored for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students across various grade levels and settings.
  • Collaborate with school personnel, families, and related service providers to promote student success.
  • Conduct evaluations and progress monitoring to assess student growth and adapt instruction accordingly.
  • Facilitate communication access through appropriate accommodations and assistive technologies.
  • Travel between schools within the district to support students as an itinerant educator.
