A specialized teaching opportunity is available for a certified Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) to support an itinerant K-12 caseload within a structured school setting in Denton, TX. This part-time, onsite contract position will begin as soon as possible and continue through May 22, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored educational services and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across multiple grade levels (K-12).
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams.
- Utilize strategies and resources to enhance communication, language development, and academic progress for students.
- Work itinerantly to effectively serve students in various school locations within the district.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education is required.
- Experience working with K-12 students who are DHH preferred.
- Strong knowledge of educational strategies and assistive technologies for deaf and hard of hearing learners.
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of student support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and staff.
