Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s level degree in Education for Teaching and Deaf Students
  • State Teaching Certification in Deaf Education (required)
  • Experience working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in educational settings, spanning early childhood through secondary grades
  • Comfort collaborating with teachers, specialists, and families
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to travel between schools as needed

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct instruction and support to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students K-12th across multiple school locations
  • Collaborate with general education and special education teams to foster accessible learning opportunities
  • Adapt curriculum and materials to meet individual student needs in inclusive and self-contained settings
  • Serve as an advocate for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, helping foster a positive and equitable school community
  • Track student progress and contribute to IEP meetings and documentation
