Location: Tacoma, WA
Details:
- Full Time: 35 hours/week
- ASAP - June 2026
- Caseload: Pre K-12, Itinerant throughout the district
- Hourly pay: $45-47+ depending on experience
What is required:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Education for Teaching Deaf Students
- Valid Washington State teaching certificate with a special education/deaf education endorsement
- Demonstrate subject matter knowledge and teaching skills in each core academic subject per NCLB highly qualified definitions.
- Successful special education teaching experience preferred.
- Effective teacher and team member who will contribute to the overall school efforts to meet all student needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
- Knowledge of research-based teaching strategies and current laws/regulations regarding special education, specifically with working with students with hearing loss.
