Job Details:

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with hearing impairments
- Provide direct instruction and support to students using various communication methods, including sign language
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure students’ academic and social success
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student
- Conduct assessments to track student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or related field
- Valid Alabama TDHH certification
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is preferred
- Previous experience working in a school setting is a plus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
