Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) needed in Augusta, Georgia. 22/23 school year.
Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing needed for a full-time position in the Augusta, Georgia neighborhood. We are hiring a (DHH) for the full school year starting in August, 2022.
Application Requirements - Must have these qualifications to apply:
- Masters Level Degree in Education for Teaching Deaf Students
- Must hold an active State License in Deaf Education
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience
- Full Time
- 37.5 hours per week
- Potentially covering PreK-12th grade
- Approx. 20 students in the caseload
The duties will include support students in either general education or self-contained settings(s). Ensure student(s) have access to language/auditory information. Help provide academic support when needed. Help classroom teacher understand the student's hearing loss, IEP accommodations and hearing devices/equipment. Check on hearing aids/FM systems to make sure they are in working order. Collect data on IEP goal progress.
