Job Description: Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) - Dallas, TX

Position: Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Location: Dallas, Texas

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' needs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and educational staff to adapt curriculum and materials.
  • Teach students communication skills, sign language, and other strategies for success.
  • Utilize specialized tools and technologies to enhance students' learning experiences.

Requirements:

  • Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH).
  • Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication methods.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork.
