Sunbelt Staffing is currently seeking a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for the upcoming school year in the Manassas, VA area. This full-time position is a contract role that provides the opportunity to work with students ranging in age from early childhood to high school.

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and support to students who are deaf and hard of hearing
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech-language pathologists and audiologists, to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Adapt and modify curriculum materials and teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student
• Use assistive technology and communication devices to facilitate instruction and communication between students and their peers and teachers
• Monitor and assess student progress, and adjust instruction as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field
• Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
• Experience working with students who are deaf and hard of hearing
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Familiarity with assistive technology and communication devices
