Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Job - New Smyrna Beach, FL
Soliant is scheduling interviews for qualified deaf/hard of hearing teachers for a school district near New Smyrna Beach, Florida. This full-time job opening will cover a K-5th grade caseload at one central site for the second semester with opportunities to renew for the next school year. All duties, consisting of direct and indirect services, some IEP case management and assistive technology work with students, will be performed onsite.

Ideal candidates have experience managing an IEP caseload and establishing goals/implementing strategies and are comfortable collaborating with general education teachers to create least restrictive environments for students. Knowledge of audiology reports and ability to build self-advocacy skills in students are critical for this role.
Position will require deaf and hard of hearing credentials for Florida upon start date. Knowledge of ASL is preferred, but not required.
