Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Needed In College Park VA
Soliant is working with a great school district near College Park VA to locate deaf/hard of hearing teachers for a second-semester need. This full-time job opening will cover a K-12th grade caseload at one central site. All duties, consisting of direct and indirect services, some IEP case management and assistive technology work with students, will be performed onsite.
Position will require deaf and hard of hearing credentials for Virginia upon start date. Knowledge of ASL is preferred, but not required.

Ideal candidates are knowledgeable about IDEA/FAPE requirements, have experience managing an IEP caseload and establishing goals/implementing strategies, read audiology reports and work with students to create self-advocacy skills to ensure that their needs are met.
