We are seeking a passionate Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHHT) to deliver exceptional support and instruction remotely, starting immediately.

Position Details:
- Pay Range: $50,000 - $80,000 (Based on Experience)
- Contract: Full-Time, Virtual
- Location: Remote (Based in Atlanta, GA)
- Schedule: 40 Hours/Week
- End Date: June 2025
- Contract Period: School Year 2024-2025
- Possibility of Renewal: Yes, for the next school year

- Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Your Impactful Virtual Role:
- Empower Students Virtually: Teach and support students who are Deaf, going Deaf, or Hard of Hearing using innovative online instructional strategies.
- Best Practices: Implement effective practices in deaf education, including virtual curriculum development and the use of assistive technology.
- Virtual Collaboration: Build strong relationships with students, families, colleagues, and stakeholders to foster an inclusive and supportive virtual learning environment.
- Advocacy: Promote cultural and linguistic diversity, equity, and inclusion for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in a virtual setting.
- Behavioral Support: Manage high behavioral needs with patience and skill, adapting to the virtual environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s Degree in Education for Teaching Deaf Students
- Licensure: Must be licensed in Georgia; Active DHH licensure required (pending licenses may be considered)
- Experience: Preferred experience with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students, including familiarity with cochlear implants, hearing aids, and other assistive devices.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; commitment to ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
- Must pass background and drug screening tests.
- Must pass a Tech Screen Evaluation upon interest.
- Previous experience in virtual education is a plus but not required.
- Must have at least 2 years of onsite experience!
