Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (2024-2025) - Augusta, GA
ProCare Therapy is currently seeking passionate and dedicated full-time Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teachers to join our team in Augusta, GA. As a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing quality education and support to students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities:
- Servicing K-12 students by completing the following:
- Provide 1:1 services
- Adapt instructional materials and techniques to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary.
- Provide support and accommodations to students during assessments and evaluations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Deaf Education or related field
- Valid GA teaching license with Teacher of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Endorsement
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, and behavioral challenges.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the individual needs of each student.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students with special needs.
