A Union City, CA school is seeking a passionate Deaf and Hard of Hearing Paraprofessional to work with students (K-12) for the 2024-2025 school year (20 hours/week)
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Assist with communication using ASL (highly preferred).
- Help with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices (familiarity preferred).
Qualifications:
- California Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Permit (DHH) - active and in good standing.
- Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
