DHH Teacher Job Opportunity for 24/25 School Year in Colorado Springs, CO
DHH Teacher (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) - K-12 Itinerant
We are currently seeking a dedicated DHH Teacher (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) to join our team in Colorado Springs. This position offers an itinerant role, serving students across grades K-12. As a DHH Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments, ensuring their academic success and overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with hearing impairments in various educational settings.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
- Utilize specialized teaching strategies, assistive technologies, and resources to enhance students' communication and academic skills.
- Advocate for the needs of students with hearing impairments within the school community and beyond.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching license or certification in Special Education with an endorsement in Deaf Education.
- Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for supporting the academic and social-emotional development of students with diverse needs.
Compensation:
- Competitive pay rate of $47 per hour, with weekly compensation.
