Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) VA 25/26

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to support students near Falls Church Virginia, for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a full-time role serving K–12 students and may require itinerant travel (mileage is billable).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

• Collaborate with school staff and families to create effective learning environments

• Implement and support the use of assistive technologies (e.g., FM systems)

• Deliver services across multiple school sites if necessary

Qualifications:

• Must hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license

• Special Education certification required

• Proficient in Sign Language

• Knowledge of assistive technology for students with hearing impairments

• Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language, Special Education, or another content area is preferred but not required
