Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to join our team in Wiscasset, Maine. This is a full-time position serving students for the entire school year. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing and be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).
Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and related service providers

Develop and implement IEP goals and monitor student progress

Support students in accessing the general education curriculum

Advocate for student needs and support communication access
Qualifications:

Valid Maine teaching certification with appropriate endorsement for DHH

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) required

Experience working with students in educational settings

Strong communication and collaboration skills
