Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to support K-12 students working at an elementary math and reading level. This is a unique opportunity to empower students by teaching functional academics while supporting accessibility and communication needs.
Position Overview:
Role: DHH Teacher
ASL Requirement: Full-time if fluent in ASL; part-time with interpreter support if not fluent
Location: Chino, CA
Start Date: August 2026
Hours: Monday through Friday
Responsibilities:
Teach personal finance and beginning algebra at an elementary instructional level
Provide direct instruction to high school students who are deaf or hard of hearing
Utilize ASL or collaborate with interpreters to ensure student access and comprehension
Adapt lessons and instructional methods to meet individual student needs
Collaborate with staff, families, and the IEP team to track and support student progress
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field
State teaching license with DHH endorsement (or ability to obtain)
ASL proficiency strongly preferred
