Virtual Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing – Supporting Students in Dayton, OH

Location: Dayton, OH (Remote)
Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (K–12)

About the Role

We’re seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to provide virtual instructional support to K–12 students in Dayton, Ohio. This remote position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by ensuring each student has access to high-quality education in a virtual setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide remote instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

  • Adapt and modify lessons to meet individual communication and learning needs.

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, and families to support inclusion.

  • Participate in virtual IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.

  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with Ohio educational standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field.

  • Active Ohio DHH certification or teaching license (teaching certification may be required).

  • Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing (virtual experience preferred).

  • Strong communication and organization skills in a remote learning environment.

  • Reliable internet connection and a professional workspace.
