Location: Decatur, GA
Contract Length: August 2025 – May 2026
Hours per Week: 15 hours
Days per Week: 2 days per week (flexible scheduling—candidates may create their own schedule)
Student Population: One elementary student and one high school student
Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and certified Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to work part-time with two students in the Decatur, GA area for the 2025–2026 school year. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to help students who are deaf or hard of hearing succeed in their academic and communication development.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct and consultative DHH services tailored to the individual needs of one elementary and one high school student

Support language development, academic content access, and communication skills based on each student's IEP

Collaborate with classroom teachers, service providers, and families to ensure consistent and inclusive support

Utilize assistive technology, visual supports, and accommodations as needed

Document student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly

Travel between student sites within the district for in-person service delivery
Qualifications:
Required:
-
Valid Georgia teaching certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) education
Preferred:
-
Experience supporting both younger and older students in a school-based setting
-
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other DHH communication methods
Skills:
-
Strong understanding of IEP development and DHH service implementation

Familiarity with hearing assistive technology (e.g., FM systems, hearing aids, cochlear implants)

Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Flexible, self-motivated, and organized
